Merlot Building
232 So. Main Street

Mike Weber took this dilapidated historic building and turned it into a gem, and enhancing the location with impressive landscaping.  The endless splash of color extends along Main Street, up the hill by the lower parking lot, and continues along the side street to the upper parking lot.  The vibrant yellow, gold, red and orange Day Lilies, planted along side purple Society Garlic, complement the building.   This splash of living color, seen as you travel to historic down town, is a definite plus to our community.

The gardens of this church, which include the Memorial Rose Garden, the parking lot island beds of flowering trees and shrubs and the area running along the street, are lovingly cared for by the ‘Dirty Dozen”, a group of members that meet each Wednesday throughout the year, to take care of the needs of the garden.  The area is an ever changing display of color and fragrance, and a true delight to the senses.

The Oaks Condominiums

The grounds of The Oaks are beautifully maintained with the use of water-wise plants, revealing natures blend of color, shape and texture, making it a definite asset in our community.  There is a small stretch of lawn along the walk, but it is the hill, which rises steeply above, that catches your eye.  Tall eucalyptus trees tower over the array of wonderful textures and colors at their feet.
