Our Projects

FBA brings many local groups together to beautify Fallbrook. Our ongoing projects include:

Jackie Heyneman Community Park - Located at South Mission Road and Beech Street, FBA continues for work with the Fallbrook Village Association and Save our Forest to maintain this gem of a park that is open to the public.

Military Welcome Home Tribute - "In Honor of Those Who So Bravely Serve This Country - Welcome Home"

This site, on the north side of East Mission near Rancho De Loma Road and Avo Drive, was dedicated in 2009 in support of service men and women at Camp Pendleton. The site features a large American flag and a POW flag hoisted on a historic flag pole that once adorned the original Fallbrook post office.

Downtown Flowerpots - Fallbrook residents and visitors enjoy a downtown lined with flowerpots of vibrant blossoms and foliage provided and maintained by the FBA.

Mission Medians - Beautiful plants give the Mission Medians that "wow" factor as you enter Fallbrook.  FBA maintains the medians at a cost of over $18,000 annually.  This is only possible thanks to these generous individuals and businesses that continue to contribute to the maintenance:

Pico Promenade - With the help of Save Our Forest, FBA maintains and beautifies the Pico Promenade walking path that parallels a creek and extends from Fallbrook Street north to Elder Street.  Volunteers work with local school children, planting natives and drought-tolerant plants.

Graffiti Cleanup - Hundreds of volunteer hours are spent each year on eradicating graffiti found in public areas of our community.  In 2018 the graffiti team worked 506.5 volunteer hours, removing 1572 tags!   From January  to June 2019 our amazing graffiti team has  removed 1,729 graffiti tags and worked 425.25 volunteer abatement hours!  In 2021 FBA partnered with the County of San Diego to streamline notification and documentation of graffiti to aid county employees who would then take the lead to remove the graffiti.  Report graffiti by calling the Graffiti Hotline: 760-451-3145.

Household Battery Recycling - With help from the Rotary Club of Fallbrook and Fallbrook Village Rotary, FBA organizes collection of used household batteries for recycling (AAA, AA, C, D, button cell, 9 Volt, both rechargeable and single use) at the local Albertson's, Major Market, and Ace Hardware stores.

Keeping Fallbrook Litter Free - FBA has a spectacular program in which members volunteer to pick up buckets of litter in their neighborhood.  The Fallbrook area is organized into zones, with a captain for each, and volunteers work to pick up litter within a zone.  FBA provides 5-gallon buckets, litter grabbers, safety vests and work gloves for all those volunteering in our ongoing litter program.
